The domiciliation of companies is an activity regulated by the amended law of 31 May 1999 governing the domiciliation of companies (the "1999 Law") which reserves the exercise of this activity to certain regulated professions, including lawyers.
The activity of domiciliation of companies consists of providing a company with a registered office or business address so that the company can carry out its activity in the context of its corporate purpose. It also consists in accompanying the provision of a registered office with the provision of various supervised services such as:
- mail reception, including in particular physical or digital reception or the provision of non-private and non-secure mailboxes or lockers at the service provider's reception;
- the management of mail, including in particular its opening, digitisation or physical or digital transmission, as well as the organisation of the sending of mail issued by the hirer;
- reception and/or transmission of telephone calls
- the organisation of meetings;
- receiving visitors.
