Me Cora Maglo

Cora Essi MAGLO

Founder, Lawyer

Cora holds a law degree from the University Robert Schuman (Strasbourg), a Master in Private Law from the London School of Economics (London) and a LLM in International Business Law from the University François Rabelais (Tours).


She was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2009. 


Cora was trained in corporate/commercial law in the corporate department of Clifford Chance Luxembourg. She then trained in commercial litigation and labour law in the litigation department of Bonn Steichen Partner.


Cora also practices immigration law, family law and tenancy law with a particular focus on these areas since 2013.


As of 2022, Cora is the only member of the Luxembourg Bar to have been trained in collaborative law by the AFPDC (Association Française des Praticiens du Droit Collaboratif).

Cora was born in Togo. She immigrated to France at a young age, where she lived before studying in the United Kingdom. She chose to settle in Luxembourg in 2008.


She speaks French, English, German and Mina. She continues to progress in Luxembourgish.

Apenyin Otua NYANTE

Lawyer

Apenyin holds a bachelor's degree in law from the University of Luxembourg and an LLM in European business law from the University of Luxembourg.


She was sworn into the Luxembourg Bar in 2022.


She trained as an analyst in the Cross-border distribution department of Deloitte, and as an assistant at EY Financial Services & Tax advisory. She returned to CERNO in 2022, having first joined in 2017 as a trainee.


Apenyin was born in Ghana. Of Ghanaian and Franco-Italian descent, she immigrated to Luxembourg at a young age and chose as an adult to definitively settle in the country. She speaks Luxembourgish, French, English and German.

Sarah BESSAH

Lawyer

Sarah holds a double Master’s degree in Public Law from The Faculty of Law, Political Sciences and Management (Strasbourg - France), and in Litigation of fundamental rights and freedoms obtained from Sorbonne University (Paris), with honours.


Sarah was admitted to the Luxembourg Bar in 2022.


She has significant experience in Immigration and Asylum law. A passionate advocate for human rights and children’s right, Sarah practices general litigation, civil and commercial law and is very sensitive to Human rights and Public Freedoms.


Sarah is as a member of the Luxembourg Institute for Human Rights.


She speaks French, English, Spanish, Berber and Turkish.



Born in Algeria, she was raised and studied in France. She chose to settle in Luxembourg in 2022.

Viera UHEROVA

Administrative & Immigration Assistant

Viera holds 2 Master's degree! One in Pedagogy and teh second one French as a Foreign Language.


She has also been trained in Interpretation, Intercultural Mediation and Psychological Support by the French Social Services for Children.


In particular, she has strong skills in advising and supporting parents, adolescents and migrants on their rights, as well as in administrative management.


She has worked for many years as a translator for the European institutions, and for the Association au Soutien des Travailleurs Immigrés.


She has also worked as an administrative assistant at CACEIS.


Born in Slovakia, Viera chose, like the rest of the team, to settle in Luxembourg, where she proudly raised 3 children.


Viera's language skills are truly impressive! She fluently speaks Luxembourgish, French, English, Slovakian, Czech, German and Italian!

  • Tania works with the firm on cross-border cases (Luxembourg / Canada) in corporate law and intellectual property.


    Tania holds a degree in Economic and Social Administration (AES) as well as a Master I in Corporate and Business Law from Robert Schuman University (Strasbourg).


    She participated in the bi-national (France-Canada) Master's programme in Health Law, at the end of which she obtained a LLM in the Management of Health Institutions from the University of Montpellier (France), and a LLM in Health Law from the University of Sherbrooke (Canada).


    After completing the professional training of the Quebec Bar in 2015, she practiced in administrative and civil law before opening her own practice in 2018 (www.cernoavocats.com).


    Her expertise extends to corporate law, trademarks and patents and commercial practices. She also defends clients' interests before the Civil and Administrative Courts of Quebec (Canada).


    She is a member of the Pro Bono Committee of the Young Bar Association of Montreal since 2016.

    Sophie is our reference partner for cases requiring the application of French law. Her expertise includes corporate law, banking and finance law and French employment law.

     

    Sophie holds a double LLM in Business Law and Management Sciences and in Financial Engineering and Tax Strategy from the Sorbonne University (Paris I - France).

     

    She has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar Association since 2009 and of the Toulouse Bar Association since 2012.

     

    She worked in the corporate department of Clifford Chance Luxembourg before opening her own practice in France, Toulouse.

     

    She works in French, English and Portuguese.
